Hurricane Kay hit the Baja Peninsula on Thursday September 9th. It caused extensive damage down much of the Peninsula and has affected the local community of San Juanico and the surrounding areas. Everyone is safe, however there was a lot of material damage done.

We are reaching out to our community who has continued to support San Juanico and asking for a simple donation to help with the recent damage created

by Hurricane Kay.

Donations will be used to supply the community with the necessary materials to clean the town, buy food and personal hygiene items for the ranchers  and their families who rely on access to San Juanico.  More information is provided below.

Any amount is greatly appreciated!

The Scorpion Bay Hotel team and the community of San Juanico have planned to carry out a campaign to clean up the beach and the affected areas in the town. With that said, they are in need of various cleaning tools and equipment such as: garbage bags, rakes, shovels, axes, hoes and talaches. As well as gasoline to transport garbage to the municipal dump. The pueblo has already started the process of cleaning the local school, but are still in need of help to clean the entirety of the town and this will be a large task.
